Laid-back Pub Wedding Photography

Thank you so much we love these! We sat down to look at them on Saturday evening with an aim that we’d find 10 favourites… and we found several hundred!”

I adore shooting at The Battleaxes because to me what is better than combining a wedding day… with a pub! It lends itself so much to a laid back feel, people feel comfortable in the space and there’s always gorgeous hidden nooks and spots for photography. Plus the places are filled with history too which I adore.

Steph & John got married at The Battleaxes in a ceremony led by Steph’s brother (guaranteed to be a tear jerker of a ceremony then!) and celebrated after with their friends and family from all over the world, including Canada where they live currently. I’d met them in London just the week before for their snap & chat St James Park and knew their wedding was going to be fantastic.

As these guys got married in December it meant I had free rein with making some creative indoor shots as well as outdoors, baubles and fairy lights are great fun to play with! As is my style I kept this to a minimum just grabbing them quickly before they headed in for their dinner. Afterwards a brilliant ceilidh band filled the pubs floor and EVERYONE joined in. This part was just a joy to shoot as the dance floor was full and people really let loose.

Anyway, enough from me ! Take a look at their beautiful day below, and if you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your pub wedding in London please do get in touch!
